Style Profile

You Are Classic

Elegant and sophisticated. That's what you are. You are drawn to quality and timelessness. You buy items that will always look stylish. Everything you wear is well made. Dressing appropriately is very important to you. For you, hair and makeup depend on the occasion. You know what looks good on you. You are, at heart, a traditionalist.

Retail therapy

A little retail therapy indeed will do everyone good, especially for girls.

It might be a couple of nail polishes,a piece or two blouse or maybe just a lipstick which you always wanted to have in your collection.

The after-effect is awesome. It will leave you feeling relaxed and satisfied.

Trust me,and I’m sure ALL of you know very well what I meant.

I just bought myself two bottles of Elianto nail polish, and the shades are awesome.I never imagined myself to purchase such colors before, but today I just picked them up and I feel satisfied!

So,when is YOUR therapy?

Till then.

A friend

The issue of a girl and a guy being just friends have always been controversial.

What do you guys think?

I personally think a guy and a girl can be friends, without ANY feelings.

Proof?

I am a living proof myself.

I know a guy from Friendster a couple of years ago.Yes,FRIENDSTER before FACEBOOK became the in-thing.

We were at first communicating via Friendster before I decided to put a little more trust on him to contact him through his phone.

I am a girl who thinks twice, thrice and the number keeps going……..to decide something, especially to communicate with new people whom I know through social media.

Too much of reading gave me the awareness of not to trust people easily.Call me a self-preserved girl or a scary-cat,but I must say that I am not brought up in such a way to socialize that easily with strangers.

After all,I prefer to communicate face-to-face as I believe that’s the best way to know a person.

So,you can imagine how long it took me to be convinced over this friend of mine.

We texted, and sometimes we spoke over the phone. Not always though,we were both committed over our studies.

But I can assure you, this friend of mine is very supportive. One of the point I like about him is that he always asked me to study hard.He motivated me to study.

He helped me to move over when I had this major emotional conflict in my life.Though my family were there to support me,this particular friends’ support also helped me.

We were friends for a few years,by just communicating over phone.Though he have a girlfriend,it didn’t stop him from being a good friend.

The few years of good friendship finally made us to meet up.As usual,I’ll bring my friends over to my house first to introduce them to my parents, and I did all the same with him.My parents will feel more comfortable if they know with whom I am mingling, right?

Then, there were us,sitting and talking about common stuff.

I can say he is a guy with missions.Far-sighted,he has his own aims to achieve in his life.

He loves his parents.Though he is the youngest in his family,I can see that he is very responsible.

How can he not be,after all he will be in the military soon.

Another thing I observed,he is a guy who likes classy things. He admitted, because in the military unit, they were trained in such a way.

One thing pilot and army have in common is that they love their profession.

He is a great friend, and I hope we will remain friends.

And again,I would like to emphasize,a guy and a girl can always be good friends.

Friends forever,Kavindrra Devan.

Till then.

Birthday.

Happy birthday my best friend,
Amazing times, we always spend.
Laughter and jokes are common place,
Since we built that solid base.
Special friend that I hold dear,
Always wish to have you near.
We get along, like bread with honey,
A friendship worth, much more than money.
If you stumble, count me there,
Gratitude; no need to declare.
Your thoughts are clear, in my mind,
Understanding we always find.
Happy birthday my best friend,
I’m excited to attend.
This birthday poem, is just for you,
A great big smile is overdue.

Well, now since you guys are no more girl but now a lady, have another one…

When you are young life leaves you no choice
Do this. Do that.
No room for a little voice
When all you want to do is play and just have fun
Ride your bike. roller-skate, and be free to run.
With no concerns for the who's, what's, when's and why's
Then you go from a girl to a woman before your own eyes.
Life gives you lessons to learn as you grow
Room for mistakes and time to show what you know
Just be patient because things will soon go your way
enjoy the young times and have a happy birthday.

Happy Birthday!!

The First Flight

I am currently working under a small company which organizes all kind of flying event, and also sky diving, paragliding and microlight.

Did I just say SKYDIVING?

Yes,as a matter of fact,if time permits,I might as well go for the 1st trip of sky diving by the company which will be held in Johor around October.

Risky, but the thrill is there! :)

Anyways, back to the track. My first flight after I actually know the world.I’ve been in airplanes before, but those were when I was like a few months old – 6 years old?!

Seriously,I don’t remember anything about my previous flights.

The only thing i remembered is that one of the beautiful air stewardess helped me to cover myself with blanket, and the moment I get back home only to realize that I lost my half pair of my earrings.

Duhh. T_T

Okay, since I’m working there *though not permanent* my boss decided to give me a ride on the aircraft,to give me the feel of how is it to fly on a small aircraft, just for sightseeing purpose around KL city.

It may sound a little lame, but I got the chance to do it while a lot others don’t get it,right?Plus,my trip is free!

My flight was on a Cessna 150,a 3-seated aircraft.

My flight was scheduled with US customer,Candy Salmeron and her boyfriend Greg.

We became friends fast, that my boss almost thought we knew each other way before we met on the day.

The journey started from my office, where my boss and I went to Subang Airport,Terminal 3 in her car.*Free trip and free transportation?*

Upon reaching there,we were briefed by our pilot Azim regarding the aircraft.*Not my interest,so ‘masuk telinga kiri, keluar telinga kanan’*

Then,we were guided through the check post into the hanger.

At first,to view the hanger from the Mc Donald's next to the hanger would not give you the thrill. But the moment you walk yourself into the hanger, you get excited.

After a 5 minutes brief,I stepped into the aircraft first, followed by Greg.*He is big,so I had to get in there first*

After everyone settled and buckled themselves to their seat, the engine was started.Candy, who was the co-pilot was guided by Azim to fly the aircraft.A few minutes later,we are gliding over the runway if I am right. But we have to wait for a few minutes to get the wind condition right for us to fly,and finally when we took off from the runway, the feeling was awesome!

As though you have spread your wings to fly in the air!

Just for the sake of fun,Azim gave us a sudden pull in the height, which reminded me of the Space Shot in Genting Highland!

That was the only heart-stopping moment in the aircraft, the rest of the flight was as smooth as whipped cream. ;)

The flight did not last long,as we had to make an emergency landing due to the arrival of three commercial planes.

Landing was smooth, hats off to Azim.

Before we actually wave goodbye to each other,we managed to snap a few shots. So,let the pictures do their talk!!

Ice Room

Okay,I found a place to go for a date in the future.

Where?

The Ice Room shop.

They serve western food and their highlights will be their shaved ice cream.

I love their interior,so classy and elegant.Very stylish.

shamelin

Originated from Taiwan, shaved ice have the shaved texture, whereby the ice cream looks as if its shaven from a big chunk of ice cream.

They are served in a pretty bowl, emerald green bowl.Unique, and gives you the feel of sophistication and luxury.

My mother and I decided to give it a try as the shop is located nearby to the temple we use to go.

Since we both were full from the meal we took at temple,we took only a bowl of ice-cream to share.

We had a tough time choosing the flavor, and we ended up with Snowy Blueberry.(I always loved blueberry,so we decided to give it a go).

The taste was not bad. It’s a mixture of blueberry and vanilla.

Honestly,it was vanilla ice cream with blueberry sauce.

The only thing that spoiled the taste was the raisins/kismis.

Well, let the pictures do the talking..though my pictures are not of high quality, but they have something to say!

But they are expensive, you can mark my word.

A bowl of ice cream can easily cost you a minimum of RM7.90.

If you are willing to spend, then go ahead :)

Till then.

Yakuza

Recently,I came across a Japanese word.Yakuza.

What is Yakuza?

The Yakuza is the name given to organized criminal gangs from Japan. The Yakuza is not a single organization but rather a collection of separate gangs or clans akin to the American Mafia. These violent criminals have left their fingerprints on many aspects of Japanese life, from lowly gambling and prostitution rackets to the halls of high-level political and financial power.

Sounds like gangster?

Yup,Japanese version of mafia/gangster.

However, they are well respected in Japan.Unlike our own mafia, whereby they are dreaded.

We Malaysian have also our own Yakuza, and they can be found in Malacca.

They are respected people, and they treat others well..well,unless you want to be their enemy, then you can always wait for your ‘treat’.

My friend, who knows a few Yakuza described them as people who will treat you well if you treat them well.

I think this applies to everyone, right?I mean if you treat people well, people of course will treat you well in return.

Hrmm..I don’t dare to write more on Yakuza,I don’t want to offend anyone.

You may Google them if you want, but I bet you can’t find much about Yakuza in Malaysia.

They are low-profile people.

Peekers

I don’t want to be annoying, but fyi, this is MY personal blog and it is MY wish to blog to my hearts’ content.

No hard feeling,peeps!

Anyways, yeah.I went for a little shopping days ago.Just to get myself some home stuff along with my personal stuffs.

As I lost my liquid eyeliner,I went looking for one. There were many, but I decided to go for In2it Pen Eyeliner. My friend was the one who introduced it to my.

It looks very much like a marker the moment you pull off the cap.

At first,it was awkward to draw a fine line using a marker-like eyeliner and I stumbled a bit there.

On my second time,it was a lot easier.I don’t even have to press the tip on my lash line.It enables me to draw a thinner line, better than pencil eyeliners. And it dries up pretty fast too!

It’s cheap,but it delivers high-priced products’ quality.

I don’t experience panda eye,as I used Hydra Clean Makeup Remover.

New Silky Girl Hydra Clean Makeup Remover

P/s: I still prefer pencil eyeliners, they make great liners for Indian-style eye-do.The makeup remover is great!

I also bought Silkygirl High Definition Mascara.

The wand looks a bit weird,it’s a bit bulged at the tip.

To apply,I have to coat my lashes using the rounded end before using the thinner part of the wand to comb my lashes.

It doesn’t feel heavy on my lashes at all,and it does not clump. It is almost unnecessary for me to separate my lashes,as the wand combs my lashes just nice.

I wouldn’t say it’s perfect, but it delivers just nice.In fact,it delivers more than what it costs.

It doesn’t give me this;

but it gives me this:

it gives me better actually.

Though I don’t really need to use mascara as my lashes are already long and curled, but it’s a girls’ thing to have a mascara on her own :).
