Confused soul.

What’s going on with me.

I am in utter confusion. Just because.

I don’t understand what it is. I don’t want to get confused and be confused.

I want to be clear, I don’t want to have this war between my heart and my brain. It’s really confusing!

Sometimes, it feels awesome like no other. Sometimes, it’s all about pain. Not pain ‘pain’, but the heartache.

It is like being in the deepest sh*t and in the same time, being at the sea side under a shady tree, being all so serene and blessed with the tranquility it offers.

Sigh. Messed up, aren’t I?

Adding to that, it involves the families as well. And the beliefs. Oh dear, what am I to do??

Sigh.

Genting Trip 2012

Two days after Diwali, we packed our stuffs and made our way to Genting Highlands. I was so excited as during the previous visit, we never had the chance to play all the outdoor games. So this time, I made a point to try all the games.

We checked into Genting First World Hotel, or the colorful hotel as how I call it. One of the largest hotel in the world with about more than 8000 rooms. That’s huge, right? We booked two rooms, unfortunately, we got one on the 16th floor and another one on the 20th floor. My brothers took the one on the 16th floor while my parents and I took the one on the 20th floor.

That night, my father went around to look for spectacles, he left his at home. So the rest of us decided to stroll around in The First World Plaza. The scenery was so good, a lot of people and it was warm inside. It shocked me to see one Crunch ice-cream costs about RM4 there while down in Kuala Lumpur, it’s about only RM1.50. Not surprising though, as it’s a tourist spot and it’s normal to find things at a higher price.

We went to bed quite late after walking through the crowd, watching shows and window shopping. The next day, at about 11am, we all got showered and got ready to hit the theme park. We bought our ticket, only RM50 for unlimited all-day entry to the Outdoor Theme Park. I am quite surprised to learn the price,I expected a higher price. After that, we went to the canteen right opposite the theme park for our lunch.

At about 11.30am, we finally entered the theme park. As it was still early, not many people were around. We decided to go for the Sungai Rejang Plume Ride first. Halfway there, my brothers wanted to go for the Bumper Boat. I didn’t want to go for Bumper Boat, so I followed my parents to the Sungai Rejang ride. Litlle did I know that they wanted to go on the Mini Train and Antique Car! I was so disappointed, but I can’t complaint either, they want to have some time to relax too. So yea, I had to follow them and only after that I got to know that my brothers went for the Sungai Rejang Plume Ride already!! I was so disapointed again :(

Too bad, the queue was too long by the time I reached the entrance to that ride. SO, we all decided to go for the Corkscrew, the longest roller coaster in Genting. I really enjoyed the ride. It was so much fun! But before that, I kept thinking and praying that nothing like Final Destination movie happens. So lame of me!

Then, we went to the Space shot. Damn, I can never go for the ride without feeling scared. We proceeded to the Dinosaur Park before my brothers wanted to retire to their room. On the previous visit, they tried all the games, so this time it was quite boring for them to play them again. My Dad chose to join them ,leaving me and my Mum to have fun. We tried all the other games available on that day including boating, which I enjoyed the most.

We wanted to go for the Dragon Ride so badly, but too bad, it was down for maintenance. We then took our dinner before heading back to our room. And I, of course took the chance to soak myself in the bath tub. It was really nice to have a hot bath after a tiring day. One thing to note here, the hotel rooms in the First World Hotel is not air-conditioned. It comes with ceiling fan. What we did was to switch off the fan and we left the windows open.

The next day, we checked out early as I wanted to go to the Strawberry Farm/Park at Gohtong. It was on our way back to Kuala Lumpur. Nothing much there, except for a souvenir shop and also farms with strawberries and vegetables. Not to forget, there’s a mushroom nursery as well. My brother bought a packet of fresh strawberries while I got myself some key chains before heading back home.

Next, I’ll let the pictures do their talking.

Deepavali 2012 and the trip to Genting.

It is now almost one month after Deepavali/Diwali is over. Only now, I get the time to post on my celebration here.

To be honest, I feel this years’ Diwali is not like my previous years’ celebration. We had a very simple celebration, but yet one of the most memorable one we have ever had.

This year, all the three of us (my brothers and I) have our own income. We spent our money to help our parents. I bought my Dad two shirts (one for his birthday which was on the 31 of October and another one for Diwali), I paid for my mum’s saree. I didn’t have the time to buy my brothers and dogs something. In fact, I didn’t even have the time to shop for clothes for myself! Its’ because I was so much occupied with my production at work.

My dad managed to get a goat to be cooked for the guests during the open house. Yes, a goat. We were asked if we wanted the goats’ head and blood. My mum said a BIG no. My father’s friend helped him to skin the goat so that all we have to do is to chop the mutton into edible sizes. That alone, took all of us the whole day to handle. It was really tiring(plus backache!) for me because on the day before, My mum and I went to Bukit Jalil, Masjid Jamek and Brickfields to get some last minutes stuff. And we took only public transports to cover all the three areas.

On the day, we went to temple in the morning. I was rather pissed because the tailor lady hadn’t sewn my saree blouse! Luckily, I have a new suit of Punjabi Suit which my mum bought for me from India at 2009. So, I wore that to temple. I liked that suit so much eventhough it is a simple one. Back home, we all had our breakfast. Thosai and mutton. After that, cooking session started. The whole cooking thing ended at 4.30pm, just when my father’s friends arrived. They were very helpful, the helped us with the tables. By the way, my father had two tents fixed to cater the guests.

Since that up to 12am at night, we had guests non stop coming. I even had one of my BFF to attend, Nailil and her boyfriend Ed. They brought along their friend as well. For the dinner, I wore my favourite peach dress.

Of course, liquors were served as well. Together with me, two girls from my neighbourhood and our mums joined us to a bottle of white wine. My mum didn’t have her glass, she don’t drink. So, all of us had a small portion of wine, before we girls went over to join the guys( our brothers and their friends) with the fire crackers. It was so much fun! I haven’t had the chance to play for a long, long time.

The whole event ended at about 2 something after my mum and I cleared all the mess and arranged the things as they were before. And the next day, we all woke up nearly 10am.

Truly an enjoyable celebration. What makes it even more fun? My dad brought us to Genting! That, gonna be in the next post :)

Etude House Mini Haul

Yesterday, Dylla and I went to Queensbay Mall to look for some stuffs. As usual, we will browse through shops and end up commenting on the sales girls and the sky high prices. We tried our luck at eating sushi at Sushi King. Not bad, we can actually swallow them down, In fact, they were quite delicious. We have already decided on what to eat on the next trip to Sushi King. After that, had our dinner at McDonalds. We eat ALOT, yes.

Before satisfying our taste buds, we went to Etude House to see if they have any promotions going on for their face masks. Our luck, they are having a promotion right now, up to the 25th of December!

I quite liked their face mask. They don’t break me out nor irritate my skin. They make my skin to feel smoother and brighter. My personal favourite will be the Lemon mask.

Anyway, back to the haul, the masks were sold at rm15 for 5 mask. Dylla took 2, the Royal Jelly one and the Lemon mask. I took the Pearl Extract,Pomegranate and Aloe mask.

Of course,we didn’t just stop at the mask shelf. We schemed through their other product, and me, I headed to the nail polish shelf. I saw that they are having some kind of promotion. Don’t really remember the prices but the SA told me that I’ll get 10% off for one item, 15% if I buy two and 25% off if I buy 3 items. We both were broke ATM, so we said no.

Moving to the next shelf, we saw that they are selling different types of polishes at RM5/bottle. Obviously, I had to try them, right? Besides, there was this peachy polish which I have been hunting for god knows how long! The SA tried the color on my nails, I asked for Dylla’s opinion and yes, I grabbed it! Then, I saw this mint colored polish. The same thing happened and I grabbed that as well. Then the SA, knowing my nail polish fetish kind of thing (is there such thing??), she showed to me this purple glittery polish which is equally lovely! Sighing out, I told her that I’ll take that as well. She wanted to show me another color and I said no! I can’t afford to buy more than what I have already picked. God, such an impulse buyer, I am!

The SA was very friendly to us, and we liked her so much. We liked her even more when she gave us a generous number of free gifts! We both got a sample-sized toner+moisturizer kit and Dylla got a few BB cream samples. I didn’t get/take the BB cream as the SA told me that they don’t have the right tone for me. To compensate that, she gave me another toner+moisturizer kit. So generous of her!

Let the picture do it’s talking next.

FOTD – Deejay on the floor

Last week, I had to spend the nights at work. Due to our production to launch our studio. I was the person in charge of the multimedia. Not the deejay by the way :P The title sounds cool, that’s why the I put them as such.

Everyone in the production will be having some make ups on, so I decided to put up some make up as well. Not that I don’t make up on other days, but I had taken some extra effort to put some extra make up on my face for the event. On normal days, I go bare faced or eyeliner + lipstick one day, lipstick and very subtle blusher on another day. I don’t do my eye shadows to work normally. I keep it for special occasions.

Since I have scored several likes on my profile picture in Facebook, I thought of doing a breakdown on what I had on my face. (though I know the picture looks nice because of the lighting :P)

boria

I applied my compact powder all over my face to create a smooth canvas. I used Pixy compact powder. Cheap and good.

On my lids, I had my Avon Mineral Eye Shadow in Mocha Goddess (Review: here)and a black eye liner pencil on. I skipped mascara though (I forgot to bring mine actually =.="). I first applied the eyeliner, smudged it, applied the eye shadow with a light hand and applied the eyeliner again at the base of my lash line, to make my lashes look thick as though I applied mascara.

Cheeks, I left them bare.

On my lips, I had a nude lipstick. I used my Revlon Blushing Nude lipstick (Review : here)

That’s all. Nothing more and nothing less.

Hope you’ll like my do.

Till then~
